I have visited the Comet many times in the last 18 months, sometimes for family meals or just as a treat. On every occasion the staff have been friendly and extremely helpful. The food is delicious (hence we keep going back!) Prices are very reasonable. This visit was for my daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday with friends and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the food. I would recommend the Comet to anyone.

Previous coment was valid until new owners took over. My companion and myself were the only two people in the pub on one occasion, being outnumbered by the staff. Only asked for a window to be opened, heard the landlady complaining about what she had to do and the fact that she had to open a 'bloody' window for us, all within ear shot.Since the pub has changed hands, everything is too much trouble, beer is below par, staff are inexperienced and un interested and the food? if it can be called that, is worthless. There is a far superior pub in the main part of the village.
