When will the owners of pubs learn that people will not return to establishments with surly staff. Want tourist dollars/pounds, don't be unpleasant to those who walk in your door. While my friends looked at the chalk board menu outside deciding whether to stay and eat and drink at this pub, I went inside to wash my hands. Once inside the toilet, found that there is no soap. As I walked back out to meet the friends the owner made a nasty comment about using the toilet without drinking in the establishment. Try a friendly welcome next time.

If you want to get completely away from the big city with all it's stress then jump in your car and get yourself to the Crown at Middlesmoor. I have been going for over 14 years and have to visit at least 3 times a year to keep myself sane. Run by Malcolm, Caroline & John you will experience fantastic food in warm, friendly (sometimes slightly eccentric) surroundings with great beers. The breakfast is the only meal you will need until your evening meal it is that good. You will leave desperately checking your hectic work diaries for the next date you can return. A diamond of a place, but don't tell all your friends or you'll never get a room!!!! Enjoy.
