Best rates for a Local Hotel

As local people (well Pen Llyn) Sue and I visited this establishment on spec last Tuesday, having eaten out in most of the local pubs etc around the area. Without doubt, the Lion excelled in every way, delicious duck, fantastic fisfcakes and puddings of perfection. The service was also excellent as was a fine Merlot. This hotel is by far the best we have visited in the area and coupled with this, provided the best value for money - we will visit again (and again) - well done and thank you the Lion !

Just booked the Lion for the weekend in March for the 4th year in a row. We had known the pub for years having spent lots of family holidays in the area and quickly grew to love the great hospitality. It's now a tradition for the family to stay b&b for my husband's birthday and so we get to enjoy the great breakfasts as well. Great food, great beer and above all such a welcoming and friendly team. The rooms are spacious, always clean and great value.

The Lion is a lovely, friendly and welcoming pub set in the heart of Tudweiliog. The staff are lovely and don't change year on year. The service is great although you sometimes have to wait up to an hour / hour and a half in the summer evenings. At the front is a lovely play area for children with a seated area to eat and out the back are more seated areas. Recommend even if just passing through.

Quite simply, The Lion Hotel is the best bed and breakfast my whife and I have ever stayed in. The service and food is fantastic as are the drinks (always 100 rare malt whiskeys in stock, beer that always tastes fresh and at the correct temp), all this at prices that are not cheap but fair. All the staff at The Lion are exceptional people. Friendly, extreamly helpful and fun while remaining proffessional at all times. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble and they hold a huge amount of local knowledge. All the rooms are spotlesly clean and well furnished and suit a short break or a longer stay perfectly. Suprisingly for such a busy hotel the rooms are quiet, even the ones directly above the bar. Great news for people wanting to get away from it all or with young children. The setting of the Lion could not be better either as after a short walk one finds one self on the delightfully rugged coast line. Walking sailing, fresh water and sea fishing (call Collin on 07817 944 063), clay pidgeon shooting and horse riding are all easily available locally. Ask the staff for other phone numbers when you book. We realy could not recommend the Lion Hotel highly enough! Enjoy. Sorry about my spelling!
