we have been camping almost every weekend since july and this is the first time i have wanted to write a review of any campsite we have stayed at. we were the only mugs on the site with a tent and we had a lovely pitch, close to both toilet blocks and the pub, i couldn't fault the cleanliness of the toilets and showers. all the staff were very friendly as were our fellow campers and the atmosphere in the pub on the saturday night was fantastic (although this might have had something to do with england beating france at the rugby!!). the kids loved feeding the ducks and they liked this site even better than haven sites which suits us down to the ground as we spent a LOT less money here than at haven sites. all in all its a beautiful site close to harrogate, ripon, york etc. and i would recommend it to anybody. we didn't want to come home and we will definitely be going back.
