This is just a short note to thank you for allowing me to stay at your Inn . The food was realy enjoyable (you are a terrrific cook Heather), and the atmosphere was wonderful. Thanks for giving me directions and being so helpful during my stay. It was a great experience that I will always remember. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Struan. You are both terrific people - a good example of the Scottish people. Thanks again.

The decor of the rooms are beautiful, the food is very good and healthy. The owners are very kind and always ready to help, they always had time to explain anything when we did not understand the language. Its a lovely hotel, set in a quiet area, just delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Struan Inn

What a lovely welcome to Scotland we got at the Inn. Richard provided perfect directions to find places we wanted to see. Heather accommodated special requests. And the breakfast...well it was more than adequate for a day of touring, walking and driving! Thanks again for all you did to make our trip so memorable.

There is a very bad review (above), which is all lies. I remember the people concerned and the true story is they arrived at 11pm on friday for drink my licence stops at eleven so we had to refuse them, if they had come in at a reasonable hour they could have got drink up until eleven, but law does not permit me to serve after this time. The people that were drinking in the bar were residents who can drink as late as they want, and there were two couples from the campsite who were on drinking up time, but had ordered their last drink before eleven. The saturday night we did have a notice on the door saying we would be closing at nine because the bar would be at a local highland event to which they were all invited and where they could have got a drink. I do not have a childrens licence therefor after 8.15 (unless they are dining) all children have to leave as they are not allowe! d in bar area. Does Mr Paul Cameron want me to break the law just for him and his family??? If you read the reviews on our website they are all great, and we are a friendly homely inn, but when people come at unreasonable hours then I have to abide by the law. They were welcome to come to the function, they chose not to, which is not my problem. A false review which is full of lies can be damaging

the sign says "authentic Highland hospitality." Well if that is the case then God help the Highlands. We arrived Friday to camp on the campsite right next door. At approx 10.45 p.m. we (2 males) entered the bar for a nightcap. We were told sorry bar shut. That was bad enough but to find out from other campers already there that drinks were continued to be poured after we left was wrong. Worse was to come. Saturday night and they announced that they were closing at 9.00p.m. On a Saturday!!! Well at least we weren't residents! Still, lets forget about Friday night. This was Saturday. Everybody likes a Staurday night right? Not the Struan. We walked in at 8.15p.m. 4adults and 1 child aged 5. "What would you like?" Marvellous. " The pint of Best" order was just out my mouth when the same gentleman as last night advised us that "no children in the bar after 8.30 p.m." On looking at our watches and the clock in the bar that showed 8.15 p.m. this was cahnged to "8.00 o'clock." So we left. Angry. My friend spoke to the owner (a different man) the next day who apologised but not only first impressions, but second tend to stick. In many places it seems Scotland shuts to tourists with families after 8.00 p.m. The Struan has joined this unsavoury list. Stay and holiday in Scotland??? Why?? Wise up Scotland. The continent may not have our beauty and history. But it beats us hands down on hospitality.
