recently re-opened, the Drover's Rest is very clean, warm and welcoming. Lovely log fire which is great when you come in from the Cumbrian rain. Good choice of beers, including Jennings bitter and Cumberland and Kronenbourg lager, all kept very well too. The menu is simple and inexpensive and when I was there the chef said he was about to introduce Credit Crunch specials at £2.99. The landlady, Chris is a great laugh and very friendly to everyone. Well worth a visit, this couple deserve to make a success of their new venture.10/10
