When we arrived the carpark was full of some loud noisy people, inside the pub it was full of people from the travelling community, their children were running all over the pub shouting with the adults also very loud. One of them caused an argument behind the bar and was abusive,no one asked them to leave,we managed to find a quieter part of the pub but we should have gone elsewhere, the whole atmosphere was horrible. We ate the carvery meal, cheap but not that nice, meat was straggly and chewy, potatoes not nice either. When we left our friends car had the remnants of a toffee pudding had been thrown on the window screen, nice.Friend wanted to just go,really wish we had gone elsewhere, management need to sort this. Was visiting Leicestershire, not impressed.

We have just been for breakfast and it was terrible! On arrival at 9am, we were informed that they had no bacon!!! We were offered dried up sausages which were horrible, and chewy cold hash browns! We informed the chef/server but it was all in vain. People were complaining around us, we had the meal deal for £4.79 which included 2 toasts and tea or coffee/orange juice but I have had better breakfasts elsewhere for the same money. If you were a vegetarian, they wait was terrible - it's not like it was busy. Hardly any staff there - We left half eaten breakfast and very sad, as we love the carveries but they should give this breakfast lark up if they are serving up tastleless and cold food!!

First and very last visit on Sunday. Definately the worst experience ever. Slightly warm food, unpleasant and very rude staff and most unhelpful. On a positive note the ice cream is very good. I will certainly avoid in the future.

• Pleasant relaxed atmosphere • Good food cooked in the kitchen as apposed to the microwave • Varied menu • Quiet on Saturday lunchtime so ideal for a celebration party meal
