Just rounded of a good walk to see a stunning sunset with what has to have been one of the best meals in terms of quality and value we've had in a long time.I'm Vegan and my partner is vegetarian and it can be difficult finding a chef who has the skills to provide a good menu and we have been drawn back twice inside a week because of the excellent food, today the chef took the time to provide a "special" desert as well as coming to talk about his new menus. What a welcome change from most of the indiferent so called vegetarian food.

My partner neede a little bit of TLC and so I thought we would visit a nice pub for a meal. Having been on several very pleasnat evenings out at the prince of Wales I thought I would treat her. How sadly mistaken I was we were served the most appalling meal of a burger that had obviously been re heated and a Jacket potato that had seen better days and was almost inedible. To top that we had the unforseen PLEASURE!!!! of a dog sniffing round the plates and overhearing a very loud conversation between the bar staff and a local discussing things you do not want to hear whilst dining fine food it was not nor was the service. My partner is a mystery shopper for the retail service and she was appalled by the standards that a local public house has been reduced to.
We will not be recommending this place as an eatery or a place to enjoy pleasant conversation.

The Prince of Wales pub has undergone many excellent changes recently.
It will soon be one year since Mike and Nikki took over and the pub which is now a very popular place.
There are heaters underneath a shelter outside for those that enjoy a smoke with their drink.
Mike and Nikki have ensured that there are excellent real ales and a supply of superb food.
They have opened up the rear garden with a stage area for live music and have also built a superb bar in the garden.
The candles that are always lit around the pub, the background music and a log fire provide an excellent relaxing English pub atmosphere.
