we have been visiting your delightful pub now on a fairly regular basis for over 2 years. We have always been extremely satisfied with the menu & quality of food you have provided. On this occasion I am afraid I was far from pleased. I ordered the lamb shank which I have had a number of times, It has always been delicious. It arrived not very hot & I think it had been heated up, the meat lacked flavour. Because we brought a guest with us I did not want to make a fuss, but I am afraid it was noticed because I left nearly all my meal, the other member of our party also said it was not the best lamb shank he had tasted. I also noticed the service was not as good. The pub was very quiet yet it was not until we had all finished that the waitress came over to ask if it was all ok. I did say I had not enjoyed my meal & she asked me what I wanted to do about it. I made no fuss & she told me she would report it to the chef. The manager was also told by our guest. No one came over to see us nor did the manager make any comments when we paid the bill. I must say that the fish & chips was delicious as usual. Perhaps they have a new chef & the landlord was tired that night !!

This was our second visit to your charming village pub with excellent facilities all round, on both occasions the food was second to none and left on both occasions totally satisfied with our meal. However on both times myself and fellow diners felt let down with the hospitality of your staff and felt this tarnished our otherwise pleasant visit to you. Yours sincerly S. Firth
