Tried to visit last night, only to find that it was closed (again!) - the garage next door said that it had closed down about 4 weeks ago. Yet the website is still advertising its menu, etc.

This place has changed hands many times, the current managers are very friendly and have redecorated. The offer of 2 steaks and a bottle of wine at £25 was good value. Will go again

This pub has changed hands very many times, the new landlady seems very nice and has redecorated the pub. The food is good and well priced, as a senior citizen I got a discount.

We stopped here for lunch today. it was good to find a pub offering local produce, we had the venison which was fantastic. Staff were friendly, the car park could be sign posted better. Overall 9/10.

Went out for lunch today with my mum. She is suffering with cancer and cannot manage large meals so when we were offered a "kids portion" by the waitress she was very happy. Only trouble is the landlord/manager said this was not allowed as it is against policy. The food was nice but to anyone who requires understanding service then I do not recommend this place. In the end he was very unsympathetic and did not care at all. I was paying full price and it just seemed he was more interested about getting more money rather than customer service. Will not be returning.

We visited on the off chance after attending a funeral. There were 6 of us in the party and the lad said it was no trouble finding a table for us, they were very busy with big parties. Both the lads that served us were very polite anf friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Although we had a long wait for our food and the guys did apologise and the chef sent out some bread and dip. When we had the meals they were all hot and delicious. My husband and I have eaten here before and recommended you to the rest of group. Thank you all very much and we wish you a merry christmas and happy new year! Lorraine

This pub is fab!! The food is all proper pub food - cooked to order so the sausages took about 15 mins which was fine - they were yummy and definately worth waiting for! The staff were lovely & really welcoming. The menu listed all of the places & people they got their food from & there is a nice range of dishes. The specials had a nice range of fish dishes and none of it was pretentious or over priced. We will visit again & again & I will definately reccommend to all my friends & family
