What a really nice place to stay. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and home from home. The bathroom, with large corner bath was very modern and looked newly decorated. There was always plenty of hot water. It is situated in a very convenient position, close to the lake, shops, restaurants, pubs and other attractions. The hotel has a lovely beer garden but soon filled up as it is open to the public and we waited ages to get a seat outside as the weather was good when we stayed. We had great meals served by friendly efficient staff. We would recommend this hotel. However, due to the steep hills and steps may not be suitable for everyone, but we will go again.

Booked a table at this hotel for Valentines night for myself & my partner. We were greeted by sour faced waitresses who firstly didnt recognise we had booked a table and secondly we were told "to just sit there!" We were seated whilst having 3 smacked faced waitresses looking over us with no privacy at all, which made us feel totally uncomfortable considering it was valentines night. We requested to be moved to one of the 3 spare tables and were bluntly told "No". they didnt even attempt to compromise! With these things happening within the first 10 minutes of arrival we decided to leave as we did not want to experience anymore of this rudeness. I would honestly not advise anyone to visit this place until they change their waiting staff. A nice interior isn't everything!!!

Nice small hotel ideal as a stopping off point to the north or exploring the lakes. Rooms very comfortable, though on the small side. Decoration very good. Hotel food is excellent, we had a nice evening meal in the attractive restaurant. Well recommended, we would visit again.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the angel inn and had a great meal on the first night and a couple of bottles of really nice chilled wine. The staff are flawless and are very attentive they clearly work really hard a credit to the angel inn. The weather was amazing whilst we were there but the room was really small and the heat unbareable, we couldnt leave our window open as it was next to a walkway this made it so much harder to sleep. The room was spotless but we were next to a cleaning room where all the products were kept and the cleaning staff gathered daily to chat and organise their workload so we had quite a hot and noisey room!!!! Overall I know I sound like im moaning but we had the best time and the summer evening sitting on the grass was fantastic I would definatley go back but ask for a bigger room.
