I visited with my partner and Mum and Dad as we passed through the village on our way home from a stay in Oxford. The people who run the model village should visit the one in Beaconsfield to see how it can be done. There were normal sized plants all over the strangely deserted village which just looked odd. A pear tree was there - we commented that maybe there were no people to be seen because they had all been crushed to death by the HUGE pears. There was very little to see - we looked around it in about 5 mins. I know we did not have children with us, but I really enjoy looking at model villages - the craftmanship is usually amazing, but not this time. Shabby, dusty, unloved, devoid of humour... I could go on. We laughed that they had seen us coming - please don't waste your money. If people stop going they might just try and improve it.
