Having played a number of courses in the Lake District, Windermere GC is firmly established as our family favourite. Notwithstanding the short(ish) yardage, there are some very testing holes and a number which require 'brain' rather than 'brawn' to achieve a good score. The course benefits from a magnificent location. Nevertheless, the ground staff are to be congratulated on the very high standard of upkeep and the fact that they have been able to keep the course open (and in excellent condition) whilst other courses in the area have been closed. Overall, a memorable course full of character. Highly recommended.
