REVIEW - "I went to the folk festival every year from its start to its finish. It was a really enterprising idea not having a main stage, but to provide many singing and music venues in the town. The organiser did this to provide extra income for the shops, hotels and restaurants in the town and surrounding area. I later found out that after 5 years the festival was called to a halt because the local business weren't interested in supporting the event or sponsoring it,even the local people would go away for the weekend so that it could be avoided. They didn't like the invasion of money spending strangers in the town. For the final 5th annual event, special entertainment was provided for the children in the name of Keith Donnelly. He is one of the most special people in the folk world to have children and parents rolling in laughter. His concert was attended by 19 people and his childrens' workshop on the sunday morning was attended by ! even fewer. Advertising was profuse but still the local children didn't tear themselves away from their computers and tv's to get some real live entertainment. I'm not surprised this festival came to an end"
