Skate Boarding in Britain

England: Cheshire | Cornwall | Gloucestershire | Herefordshire | Kent | Shropshire | Surrey | Sussex | Wiltshire | Scotland: Angus and Dundee | Perthshire | Wales: South Wales | Northern Ireland: County Down |

There must be quite a few people around today who heard skateboarding being called a fad at least 20 years ago! Yet skateboarding is still alive and doing very well. The enduring appeal of boarding has ensured it has remained in favour with youth culture for so long. Municipally, Britain was slow to respond to the original skateboarding boom in the form of facilities for skaters. There are a number of parks maintained around the country varying in size and quality. Perhaps the fact that skateparks are still fairly sparsely located and often not free contributes to the use of urban areas for some boarding. Or maybe the thrill of skating where it is both dangerous and illegal is what draws many boarders into illegal skating. Skateboarding in prohibited areas is dangerous and could lead to prosecution. It is better to use resources available on the web to find a proper skatepark where you can enjoy maximum thrills in supervision and safety. Why not combine skateboarding with travel and seek out some of the most spectacular parks in Britain. Look for places such as the largest indoor skatepark at Rampworx in Liverpool, which is near to the famous Aintree race course, home to the Grand National
