| 10 Places to Stay

Moville is a picturesque seaside town located on the western shore of Lough Foyle, close to Ireland's most northerly point. The lough separates Donegal from Northern Ireland and its spectacular Causeway coastline. Moville also happens to be situated in Inishowen, the biggest peninsula in the country, and an especially scenic region where a wide range of sports may be enjoyed, including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and walking trails through fields and forests, up and down hills, and along cliffs and beaches. There's wonderful choice for golfers in Inishowen, with a particularly lovely course at Ballyliffin, looking out over the Atlantic. Moville enjoys a beautiful coastal location with gaily painted houses and a popular green park, with family attractions, sweeping down to the waves. There's a harbour too. The River Row flows through the town, and the fishing port of Greencastle is close by, so all told, this is a great area for sea, shore, river and lake fishing, for good beaches, and for walking trails along the waterfront. Moville is a bird-watcher's paradise, too. Other visitor attractions include pitch and putt, the Greencastle Maritime Museum, historic sites, a lively pub scene and easy access to the Northern Ireland city of Derry, only 20 miles away.
