Caister On Sea is a small historic coastal town in the county of Norfolk in East Anglia, and is home to just over eight and a half thousand people. It's positioned 3 miles from Yarmouth with its Pleasure Beach and pier, and only 16 miles from the cathedral city of Norwich. The town is full of architecture that spans the ages with attractive houses and thatched cottages, and has an intriguing history that reaches as far back as the Romans when they settled here remnants of which may be seen today. History lovers will be enthralled with the remains of the Medieval moated castle that is now home to a motor museum, or possibly the collection of shops, restaurants, and pubs waiting to be explored maybe just the thing. Or why not take a gentle stroll complete with sea breezes along the sandy beach that's skirted by grass covered sand dunes, a glance seawards will reveal Scroby Sands Wind Farm, or for the hardy there is always the chance of a swim. Add the possibility of Speedway, Banger and Hot Rod racing, and the thrill of greyhound racing will ensure a visit to one of the oldest settlements in Norfolk is a pleasing one.
