Belsize Park is a fashionable, elegant and very expensive north-London suburb, with neighbours including Hampstead to the north and Primrose Hill to the south. Its boundaries extend from Finchley Road and Swiss Cottage in the west to Haverstock Hill (east), a road that connects Belsize Park to all the bustling attractions of Chalk Farm and Camden Town. Haverstock Hill and England's Lane are popular spots for eating and drinking, and the general village atmosphere of Belsize Park is characterised by discreet shops and restaurants, some with pavement tables. The local parking restrictions and the proximity of some beautiful parks and gardens together guarantee a notable tranquillity. Hampstead Heath and Primrose Hill Park are both within walking distance, and Belsize Park is also close to a variety of fascinating attractions, including the picturesque Hampstead village. In the same area, visitors may well enjoy seeing poet John Keats' house, the Freud Museum, the 17th Century Fenton House, Burgh House (home to Hampstead Museum), Kenwood House with its stunning collection of paintings, and Camden Arts Centre. There are many art galleries, small theatres, leisure centres and cinemas near to Belsize Park, whose own art-house cinema, Screen On The Hill, is in Haverstock Hill.
