Duddington is a small village in Lincolnshire, situated at the intersection of the A43 and A47. It lies about 12 miles to the west of Peterborough, on the route to Leicester. Thus Duddington is well situated for easy access to all parts of the East Midlands and the North of England. Despite this, the village is set in a rural and picturesque location. The Royal Oak at Duddington is a small country inn offering good home cooked food and real ale from all over England. The inn is not far from many main towns but nevertheless is set in a quiet location and offers a restful and calm haven. In the winter you can lounge by the open fire. Alternatively, in the summer you can sit outside and watch rare birds such as the kite fly and hunt over the river and open fields. As well as the larger towns nearby, you can visit the village of Collyweston, famous for its stone roofing tiles which are popular all over England. They are thin slabs of limestone as opposed to the traditional real slate roof tile. Also nearby is the historic and quintessentially English small town of Stamford, which is known for its Stamford Ware pottery.
