Ingoldmells is fairly large village in demographic terms, having a population of nearly 4,000. It lies on the A52 adjacent to Skegness on the Lincolnshire Coastline and is a popular tourist destination. Its popularity is partly due to the proximity of Skegness, but it also has some notable attractions of its own. The Fantasy Island Family Amusement Park has many rides and attractions for all tastes. It has six white knuckle rides; including the Jubilee Odyssey, built in 2002 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The ride includes five inversions; the loop, the cobra roll, the horseshoe, the sidewinder and the corkscrew. The park boasts a huge variety of both family and children's rides; about 24 in all! Apart from the amusements, you can enjoy Eastgate Market, which meanders around the outside of the park. Eastgate Market is the largest outdoor market in Europe that is open seven days a week. It features hundreds of colourful stalls, retail outlets, crafts and live shows. It also contains Piazza Mall which features over 30 shops. Ingoldmells is also home to the majestic dome of the Skyline Pavilion at the redeveloped Butlins Skegness. The area has an abundance of Holiday Parks and Caravan Parks, making it a popular and ideal destination for families.
