Sibson is a small village on the border of Leicestershire and Warwickshire and has a 13th Century church at the heart of the village, close by is Bosworth Leisure and Water Park with fifty acres of leisure park and twenty acres of lakes, where the enjoyment of sailing and canoeing can be shared. Or if the sight of hundreds of animals such as a Bat Eared Fox, Macaroni penguin and even a Pancake tortoise pleases, then Twycross Zoo is just the place. Or perhaps a visit to Bosworth Battlefield where five hundred years ago a bloody battle was fought between Richard 111 and Henry Tudor in the last battle of the Wars of The Roses, that led to the end of the Medieval period and the start of the Tudors. Or why not ride the fabulous Shakerstone Railway that passes the battlefield, the museum houses 3ooo items showcasing railwayana and is a fantastic collection. Or there is always the Tropical Birdland where walking through the aviaries where over 600 birds fly free such as parrots, toucans and owls, with the lovely 6 acres of woodland walks, shop and restaurant an enjoyable day is bound to be had.
