Densole is a small village in Kent located close to Hawkinge on the A260. It is three miles from Folkestone and 12 miles from Canterbury. There are several caravan and camping sites along the main Canterbury Road, as well as the Reinden Woodland. There is one pub, The Black Horse, on the Canterbury Road. The area has the entrance to the Channel Tunnel within its bounds. The Battle of Britain Museum on Aerodrome Road at Hawkinge houses a significant collection of Battle of Britain artefacts including aircraft, vehicles, weapons and relics from over 600 crashed aircraft. This, together with the Memorial at Capel, the Martello Towers at Folkestone and Dymchurch, and the sound mirrors at Greatstone demonstrate the area's rich "frontline heritage." Folkestone’s Leas Promenade is a mile of manicured lawns with views over the Channel to France, the fishing harbour, Sunny Sands beach and the Lower Leas Coastal Park. The town's premier entertainment spot is the Leas Cliff Hall. The Creative Quarter in Folkestone's Old High Street is the place for arts and crafts. Nearby Sandgate houses many antiques and collectables shops. Other local attractions include the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park and the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.
