Lustleigh is a picturesque little village on the South-Eastern edge of the Dartmoor National Park in Devon. It affords a picture postcard view of the county with traditional thatched cottages only a part of local heritage projects. With tea rooms, cricket ground, 15th Century church and 16th Century inn, it is one of the most traditional as well as beautiful rural villages in Devon. Where open moorland meets wooded hills and fields, this lovely part of England is the perfect place for a relaxing, tranquil break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The church of John the Baptist stands in the centre of the village, right at the heart of village life. It overlooks traditional thatched holiday cottages, village store and post-office, the quaintly named Primrose tea rooms and the thatched village pub. At Lustleigh Cleave just West of the village, walkers can enjoy wooded walks as well as routes along the banks of the river Bovey or the ridge itself with panoramic views of surrounding countryside. Traditional holiday accommodation can be found including cottages to let, self catering and B&B. Lustleigh is a popular location for holiday makers, but is as yet unspoilt by modern tourism.
