Tedburn St Mary is a picturesque village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, home to 1500 people, and is just a few miles from the ancient city of Exeter. It’s delightful cob and stone thatched cottages, and impressive 13th Century church will keep Artists busy. Or for those who enjoy vast open spaces, unbeatable views and wildlife get ready to explore Dartmoor. Rod Danglers will be poised to spend an enjoyable day on the River Yeo where the dreams of hooking a Perch, or Tench can become a reality, or there is always Kennick Reservoir perfectly placed amidst stunning scenery where the possibility of hooking a Rainbow Trout adds to the promise of a perfect day. History lovers will be satisfied with Castle Drogo, positioned high above the Teign Gorge, with 17th Century Tapestries, and Servants Quarters which give an insight into days long past. Or maybe the invitation to tour around a Vineyard with the chance to taste a glass or two should be eagerly accepted at Manstree Vineyard. Smaller visitors are not forgotten with the fun on offer at Connections Discovery Centre, or possibly the heart warming faces of five hundred Donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary will be one temptation too many.
