Hampton-In-Arden is a charming village set between Birmingham and Coventry in the West Midlands, and it is home to just over seventeen hundred people. It has a fascinating history which dates as far back as the Saxon Settlers who first came here, the village has a wealth of attractive timber framed houses and cottages lining the roads which date back to the 17th Century, a short stroll will uncover a village green, and a beautiful church dedicated to St Mary and St Bartholomew which was built in 1130. Inside there is a magnificent stained glass window, outside will reveal the crenulated tower that once had a Spire gracing the skyline which was struck by lightning on St Andrews Day in 1643, nearby there are a handful of pretty 19th Century cottages, and a superb 15th Century Pack Horse bridge that spans the Blythe River. Walkers can enjoy the fabulous countryside and surrounding land of the Meriden Gap, riverside walks, and even the Birmingham Canal which is nearby. There are a few shops within the village, an enchanting 17th Century Inn whose white timber framed facade can be found at the heart of the village in the High Street, and an elegant Georgian Pub who's Menu will certainly tempt.
