Tanworth in Arden is a small pretty little village set amidst the rolling countryside of Warwickshire. The centre of the village is dominated by its church which was built around the mid 1300’s, the Church of St Mary Magdalene, and in the late 18th century the vicar was Philip Wren, great grandson to Christopher Wren designer of St Paul’s Cathedral in London. This village is also a popular walking destination, it is well served by two railway stations close by, Wood End and Danzey Green, as well as having a good local road network allowing relatively easy access to the M42 making the NEC, Birmingham and Stratford on Avon all readily accessible. Tamworth in Arden offers a great deal for the visitor, not only is it relatively easy to get to but once there the attraction of the immediate area becomes apparent, for those who prefer to use this location as a base then it is ideal for the Cotswolds and for visiting a number of National Trust properties that are scattered throughout the area. Finally Tamworth in Arden is also a bit of a television star for it was used as a film location for the television series Crossroads.
