Lying in the open countryside on the outskirts of Chester in the North of England is the rather quaint village of Tattenhall that embodies all that is typical of Cheshire village life. It can trace its history back to before the Domesday Book and today with its village hall and church, both central to local life, its quaint range of local shops and stores set in typical Cheshire countryside it is an attractive place both to visit and live. Historically it has relied on the rich agricultural produce of Cheshire for its economic growth, the building of the canal helped accelerate this growth as cheese and dairy products could now be exported more readily throughout the country. It was from these relatively humble beginnings that created the wealth on which Tattenhall founded its wealth as a village. Tattenhall reflects all that is good in respect of the rural lifestyle, there are good local amenities, easy access to the main North West cities and with Chester just down the road it is a popular location with visitors who want to explore the City and experience the Cheshire lifestyle. If you are visiting the area then Tattenhall offers some excellent restaurants and local pubs whilst for the more energetic the countryside is a delight to explore.
