Farnham Common is a small village bordered by Burnham Beeches wood and nature reserve, in the county of Buckinghamshire. St Johns church celebrated its centenary in 2007 and it was here that Fuzzy Felt was invented during World War II! There are several pubs in the village, some serving food with The Foresters Arms actually being more of a café/bistro with bar! There are 2 hotels – Oldfields Hotel and Pinfield Hotel, both small, friendly and peaceful. Just south is the larger, historic village of Farnham Royal, which is in Berkshire, and it is here that you will find more places to stay, although nearby Slough has a Holiday Inn, Quality Inn, B&.Bs, etc to offer. Royal Windsor racecourse is 3 miles away too.
