Latimer is a small Buckinghamshire village, near Chesham and just 2 miles from Chorleywood in Hertfordshire. This is a charming place, looking out over the Chess Valley and The Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This pretty and quiet village has a central green on which there are 2 Boer War memorials, the larger for human lives lost and the smaller for a general’s horse. There is a London Underground (Metropolitan line) and British Rail station close by in Chalfont, connecting into London Marylebone, the M25 is minutes away and Heathrow airport is easily accessible too. There are excellent hotel/conference facilities available here – De Vere’s 18th century Latimer Place is set in 30 acres, with stunning views on the edge of the Chilterns. There is a choice of 3 venues (varying in style from period to purpose-built) in a tranquil site ideal for both relaxing and learning. All offer comfortable accommodation, numerous leisure facilities (pool, gym, Jacuzzi, sauna and beautiful parkland), professional training for delegates and many attractions such as exploring the Chilterns on foot, cycling or on horseback with it’s wide variety of wildlife, Windsor castle, Chenies Manor, etc in the near vicinity.
