Princes Risborough is a busy little town on the Icknield Way between Aylesbury and High Wycombe, with many 16th century cottages and delightful houses. In its centre is a brick Market House with open arcades, and crowning the roof is a turret with a clock and bell. Princes Risborough has afforded shelter to the traveller and sanctuary for its inhabitants for more than one thousand years. It is said that the last regular stage-coach service to run in England ended its journey from London here in 1898. Population 9,000
