Tilehurst is a suburb positioned at the western fringe of Reading in Buckinghamshire, home to over nine and a half thousand people. It started out in a modest way before tile making led to the growth and prosperity of the area in the 19th Century. There is an eclectic mix of architecture, perhaps the most notable is the Water Tower which is positioned at the highest point and dominates the skyline. There is a vast choice of shops, restaurants and bars close by, and with the River Thames flowing through the town there is always the chance to take a pleasing stroll along the Thames Tow Path.
