Kewstoke is a delightful coastal village overlooking Sand Bay in Bristol, home to just over sixteen hundred people, and is situated just three miles from Weston-Super-Mare. Perhaps the best place to start exploring the area and all that it has to offer is the Norman church of St Paul’s whose architecture won’t fail to please and melodious bells can often be heard. Take a stroll just opposite to Monks Hill and follow in footsteps long since gone on St Kew’s ancient Steps, that lead their visitor through woodland and on to the sea, why not rest a spell at Sand Bay where fine sandy beaches entice their visitor to linger. Or if the thought of seeing fascinating exhibits excite then perhaps the North Somerset Museum is just the ticket, whatever your interest from Ice Age Bones, fashions from the swinging sixties it’s all here including a fabulous 19th Century Chemist shop. If more history is wished for perhaps the Helicopter Museum will grant it in an instant with many helicopters on display, and even a chance to fly in one. Younger visitors are not forgotten with a trip to the Sea Life Centre where fascinating creatures from sharks, starfish and all things fishy are waiting to be discovered.
