Wargrave is a pleasing village that sits beside the River Thames in the county of Berkshire, and is home to 4000 villagers. The surrounding countryside is everything wished for ,or a few miles away is Dinton Pastures Country Park complete with seven lakes, two rivers and delightful meadows, with an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed, … rod danglers can try their luck for Tench Carp, Bream. The Berkshire Aviation Museum is also here where exhibits of aircraft are proudly on display. Or perhaps Blake’s lock Museum which tells the fascinating story of two rivers, with interesting exhibits from an intriguing Gypsy Caravan to Medieval wonders, set beside the river makes for an interesting interlude. Perhaps a trip to The Mill at Sonning will entertain, and certainly please all of her visitors, an 18th Century Water Mill that’s now a Dinner Theatre is a truly delightful experience. Or maybe the wonder on the children’s faces will draw you to visit the Look Out Discovery Centre, where 70 interactive exhibits are sure to enthral, where they can crawl through a giant Mole Hole, launch a Hydrogen Rocket, build a Wobbly Bridge or how about talk to a Robot Owl…..Wargrave is perfect to visit and better to stay.
