Pavenham is an attractive village with many stone buildings resting beside the River Ouse in Bedfordshire, and is home to 600 inhabitants. The village has delightful riverside walks where ducks and swans linger, or why not enjoy the amazing Jacobean carvings at the church of St Peter, with an impressive tower and five bells it’s sure to please. Pavenham Golf Course has a challenging 18 holes, set in idyllic parkland with many water features, and of course the 19th Hole. Or for a touch of elegance 18th Century Chicheley Hall with it’s warm red brick ,and fine stone pillars has paintings, photographs and rich oak panelling waiting to impress. Or possibly the wonders of the great outdoors is wished for, then a trip to Harold-Odell Country Park covering 144 acres, with Water Meadows that’s home to Ducks and Herons is surely granted. If a livelier experience is hoped for, Santa Pod has the noise and thrill of Drag Racing which is rarely beaten, although with Classic Car events, Rocket Bikes and even Monster Trucks, the choice is yours to make. There is always the 4 x 4 ’Off Road Driving Centre’, where you take the wheel in Monster trucks, or even Quod Biking, for younger visitors why not try the radio controlled trucks. Pavenham will tempt her visitor to return again and again.
