Charlton is a delightful hamlet in the heart of the Sussex Downs in West Sussex, close to Singleton, peppered with 17th Century houses, and the historical city of Chichester. Chichester Cathedral dominates the skyline and it's majestic architecture, gem coloured stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings ensure an intriguing visit, if the choir is in full voice, close your eyes and time reverses instantly. If shopping is yearned for there's the Boardwalk, and if that's not enough walking then why not stroll around the Medieval walls edging the city, or enjoy the delights of the harbour.
