Chipstead is a pretty village in leafy Surrey, that is home to just over 6.5 thousand people. Positioned on top of the North Downs where walkers are happy to explore, and Artists deliberate over what to paint first, from delightful landscapes and historic buildings, to Elmore Pond which sits at the heart of the village, or there is always the impressive 12th Century church of St Margaret’s. The beguiling scenery will tempt her visitor to stay although there is much to explore close by, whether it be a challenging round or two at Chipstead Golf Club that has 18 holes to play, or there is always the challenge of picking a winner at Epsom Race Course, time your visit right and the Derby will be on. For lovers of history Ham House sits on the banks of the River Thames and dates back to the 17th Century, the magnificent paintings inside are sure to please, or why not take one of the ghost tours, or enjoy the Open Air Theatre… For a whispered secret waiting to be heard Morden Hall Park has a meandering river with wild meadows, and if that wasn’t enough there are two Water Mills that were once used to grind tobacco into snuff… for a day of adventure Chessington World will tick every box, from white knuckle rides to wonders of the Animal Kingdom, Or The All England Tennis Club will Game, Set, and Match your sporting desire at Wimbledon.
