Hampton Wick is a village on the banks of the River Thames that’s been linked to Kingston by bridge since the 12th Century, once home to the Romans, now home to 9,000 people. Bushy Park lies north of Hampton Court Palace and covers over a thousand acres of Woodland, look closely for the Red Deer and other wonders of Mother Nature that live here, or perhaps Richmond Park will tempt a visit with it’s ancient woodland, and Lake. Or for thrills and spills Chessington World Of Adventures puts smiles firmly on faces, or for a tapestry of colour Kew Gardens will dazzle, and there is always the palace of George 111 to explore. For sporting lovers there is the All England Tennis Club Museum where the state of the art exhibits wont fail to impress, wide ranging from Tennis outfits from the 1880’s, to an amazing Cinema with a 200 degree Screen, or maybe the thrill of the track will be one temptation too many when you visit Kempton Park Race Course, or if you time your visit right the Derby will be on at Epsom Races. For a glimpse into the history books Hampton Court Palace will explain it’s chequered past and links with Royalty, if the magnificent architecture and sumptuous surroundings are not enough, then a visit to the enchanting grounds or even the Maze will grant every wish.
