Broadford is a bustling village that sits within the shadow of the Red Cuillin Mountains on the Isle Of Skye in Scotland, home to over twelve hundred people. It has a delightful Bay on the edge of the Inner Sound with far reaching views to the Isle Of Pabay. There are stunning Coastal Walks where fabulous wildlife can be enjoyed. The main street has interesting shops to explore, or how about the Skye Jewellery Showroom which crafts local jewellery. Or if the thought of five hundred reptiles is pleasing, then a visit to Skye’s Serpentarium has exotic exhibits on display from Tree Frogs, Monitor’s and snakes, snakes, snakes, although visitors can’t take them home, there is the opportunity to sponsor one. For an enchanting experience a walk through Glen Conon the ’Fairy Glen’ will share scenery that is breath stealing at every turn, complete with waterfalls, artists will reach for brush after brush as they try to capture the magical views. Be prepared for a journey of the pleasurable kind as you climb aboard a Glass Bottom Boat around Skye or to the Mainland, or for links with the past why not explore Dunscaith Castle, or Caisteal Maol which conjures evocative thoughts of centuries past.
