Narberth in Pembrokeshire (pop approx 2000) is a charming, vibrant, town. On the A478, conveniently close to the lovely beaches at Amroth and Saundersfoot, Narberth itself has plenty to recommend it. This historic town with its C11th church, C13th castle and Victorian railway station is full of contemporary delights. Narberth is known for its range of quirky, independent shops, galleries and cafés. You might browse at Narberth pottery – all the pieces are made on site - or check out the merchandise in quaintly named Jelly Egg, Haulfryn or Wriggly Tin Images. Narberth contains Pembrokeshire’s premier venue for live music at The Queens Hall. This fine building also holds the Oriel Q gallery with its changing exhibitions of contemporary art. Refreshments are also available in the Café Q. But, if opera is more to your taste, you will like the summer concerts at Lampeter House in nearby Lampeter Velfry. If your family is adrenalin seeking, Oakwood Park, with over sixty thrilling rides, is just down the road. Wherever you go here, you will see signs to adventure parks and family friendly farms, including Pemberton's Chocolate Farm – yes it’s exactly what it says and you can make and sample your own chocolate!
