Educated at Dulwich College, London. Established reputation with Piccadilly Jim (1917). Captured by Germans during WWII, released but made broadcasts for the Germans. Branded as traitor though his name was cleared, moved to USA in 1955. Wrote over 100 books but best known as the creator of Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves.
