Born 1946 in the Azores - English dramatist.


An English dramatist, his first play When Did You Last See My Mother? (1964) led to him being the first in-house dramatist at the Royal Court Theatre, London. His finest play is said to be Tales From Hollywood (1981) and the most commercially successful is Les Liaisons Dangereuses (1985) and made into a film in 1988.
