Signed for Bradford Northern in 1978, making subsequent appearances for Wigan, Balmain, Western Suburbs and Leeds. Played most of his games at stand-off and loose forward. Made debut for Great Britain in 1984 achieving 34 caps. Received an MBE in 1990 for his services to rugby league.
