Made his senior international debut came at the Stuttgart World Championships in 1993. Won the 100 m individual event in 1998 European Championships and gold in the 4 x 100 m relay. Was in the winning team for the 4 x 100 m relay in the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Won gold in the 2004 Olympics gold in the 4 x 100 m relay. Retired in August 2006.
