BOOK EAST HAM HOTELS

Jimmy Greaves
- Favourite Briton.

Born in East Ham, London
Born on 20th of February 1940
Died in 000

Jimmy Greaves was arguably the finest forward, or most effective at least, ever to pull on an England shirt, scoring 44 goals in his 57 senior appearances for his country. Only 5’ 8” tall he relied on pace, a knack for being in the perfect position, and accurate finishing. Greaves played for Chelsea, AC Milan, Spurs, and West Ham before retiring, later returning to play at non-league level for a time. For several years he had serious alcohol problems. In the 1980 - 1990s Greaves formed a memorable and light-hearted television punditry partnership with Ian St John.
