Studied English at Oxford University. Co-presented an ITV evening news programme Meridian Tonight. before moving to ITV’s London News Network where she hosted London Today and London Tonight. Joined the BBC in 2002 and has presented Breakfast, BBC Six O’Clock News and BBC Ten O’Clock News. Co-winner of the first series of the celebrity ballroom dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing.
