Born 1941 - Actor, comedy writer and television presenter.

Studied English Literature at Pembroke College, Cambridge University. Was a member of Cambridge University Footlights. First television appearance was on The Braden Beat in 1964. Performed in the cult radio series I’m Sorry, I’ll Read That Again. Co-wrote and appeared in the television comedy series The Goodies. Has hosted a number of nature programmes including Birding with Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie goes Wild and Bill Oddie’s Top Ten Birds.
