Born Richard Starkey. Best known as a member and drummer of the band, The Beatles. Had successful singles with It Don’t Come Easy (1971) and Back Off Boogaloo (1972). Has acted in several films including Candy, The Magic Christian and The Son of Dracula. Narrated the television series Thomas The Tank Engine and Friends. Received an MBE in 1965.
