Made her screen debut in 1993 playing the First Midwife in The Baby of Macon. Appeared in the nursing drama Staying Alive (1995-97). Co-wrote and starred in the sitcom Spaced. Played the role of Cheryl in the sitcom The Royle Family. Took the lead role in the sitcom According to Bex and appeared in the comedy Confetti.
