Born 1971 - Comedian and actor.
Born Michael Joseph Pennington. Made his television debut as a contestant on Win, Lose or Draw. He won the Festival Critics' Award at the 1997 Edinburgh Festival which launched his career. His early shows included The Johnny Vegas Gameshow and The Johnny Vegas Show. Wrote and starred in a BBC Radio 4 sitcom called Night Class. Has appeared in straight acting roles in Bleak House as Krook and as Bottom in an updated version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Is a regular panelist on team B on Shooting Stars.
