Born 1968 - Journalist, radio and television presenter.
Worked as a continuity announcer for BBC Radio Scotland in 1989. Moved to STV where she presented Scotland Today and hosted her own chat show Kirsty. Has also worked for ITV and hosted the news on Channel 5. Replaced Sue Lawley in 2006 as the presenter of Desert Island Discs.
